Sometimes I find very odd/interesting/funny/relevant things on the Internet (the fruits of daily procastination sessions). Or at least I think they are odd/interesting/funny/relevant in some way. I'll try to accumulate enough of them and then batch-publish them here.
An important caveat: in all likelihood, this will not be a list of the most noteworthy stuffs of the week, since I hope you can find about the new flashy important stuff by yourself. Instead, I'd like this to be a compilation of odd things, which, depending on which sources do you check, might be hard to find.
OK, OK, I'll admit it: I take most of this from BoingBoing. That is the uber-weird source. I'll try to diversify, I promess.
Here are the results of this week
- Unicode chars in DNS. This was even hard to type. And is not even what you would call news... Best viewed in Opera. Found on jwz's live journal
- In the name of the gun. Via BoingBoing, IIRC.
- The new adventures of Sigmund Freud. Via BoingBoing again. Again, IIRC.
- Marry Our Daughter. Sigh.
- Terrorists and Child Porn, Oh My! I found the last paragraph enlightening. And, as a margin note, that is one of the blogs where the comments are (more than on the average) worth reading. See this essay from Paul Graham about discussions on the Internet too.
- Addition: this.
